Thank you! I will try to figure out on the internet how to set up Crossover and try it with CS6 and CC 2015. Not a heavy graphics user, did use photoshop v7, but my limited needs are met by krita or pinta. Slightly lower down the pecking order, krita is capable. There are linux alternatives to photoshop, gimp is most often mentioned, steep learning curve (at least for me). If you want to go down this route, make sure you have a backup before you start (timeshift & backintime or equivalent). Note - I don't know if crossover will mess up your wine install. You could try crossover if it is that important to you and see if you get any better results. Photoshop v7 runs fine in wine (and crossover), cs6 is showing 3* for crossover and cc2015 says it won't install.
Don't use wine any more, use crossover instead (the commercial version of wine).
